This week Di of Di’s Kitchen Notebook has chosen French Chocolate Brownies on pages 92-93 from Baking: From My Home to Yours *. Dorie named that brownies French, because she had the idea for this sweet in Paris. The recipe was easy, but I omitted flaming the dried fruits. I used dried apricots, because I had no raisins. The taste was nice but not outstanding. I don’t think having the idea in France made them „French“ enough.
