Your pudding looks so delicious! Very smooth and creamy! Great job!
This pudding sure is excellent! Glad you liked it!
Way to improvise without a food processor! Pudding looks delish! Great job!

That’s such a great tip for preventing a pudding skin, that way none gets wasted from the plastic wrap. I have to admit that I love pudding skin though!
wow, you have a lot of pudding experience! :) glad you liked dorie’s recipe, it looks great with the hazelnuts!

You didn’t miss anything by not having a food processor–it was just one more thing for me to wash. I like the idea of adding nibs. I thought about doing that, but wasn’t sure my kiddos would eat it that way.

That is one cool gadget you have! Your pudding looks terrific–I like mine smooth, but your mix-ins sound delicious!
Looks so creamy and delicious! I love your high-tech equipment. ;-)
Wow, neat gadget! Are those hazelnuts? That little green bowl of pudding looks gooood!
looks like your “international gadget” worked great!
And are those macedamia nuts sitting on top? I could have this for breakfast… Send some over, please. It would be perfect with my coffee!
I bet the use of the nibs did give it a fun texture.
Lovely pudding!
Your chocolate pudding looks wonderful – I like knowing that you can make it without all the equipment. I have seen the Dr. Oetker products in my US supermarket and wondered if it is some special thing that expatriate Germans love to have…or is it basically instant pudding?
Cocoa nibs – why didn’t I think of that?!
REPLY:
It’s good to know it can be made without any fancy equipment. Cocoa nibs would be fabulous.
That looks great. I think my mom had one of those shaker things when I was a kid – they do the job just fine!
All of Dorie’s recipes tend to be richer than my usual versions! Your pudding looks delicious, I love your tip for keeping the skin from forming, I’ll keep that in mind!
I love the photo with the bite taken out. Like the photographer just couldn’t resist!
I love your “gadget”! I remember my grandmother using something like that when I was a little girl. And are those macadamia nuts on top of your pudding?
REPLY:
I know you said you used cocoa nibs, but I’ve never seen any that looked like that – they look like macadamia nuts!
Thank you for explaining Dr. Oetker’s pudding for me – I will have to invite my good friend Helen (from western Germany) so our 3-year-old daughters can make it together!
Wow! I’m very impressed that you truly did do it the old fashioned way! Hope you enjoyed the pudding.
so funny i didn’t have a skin form at all…and i didn’t do the cover entirely with plastic wrap…just loosely…it was so amazing, love this recipe!
That is one cool gadget! Really, you didn’t miss anything by not having a food processor. It was messy and one more thing to clean up! Your pudding looks delicious!
Nice looking pudding!
Your pudding looks wonderful and I like the addition of the hazelnuts. I got used to eating hazelnuts like that while living here in Lebanon and I know those went really well with the pudding. I look forward to your post next week!
The pudding was definitely a soul soother in the case of my sick oven…can’t wait until it’s fixed! I’m digging your no food processor version. I used mine, but thought I could have done without.
Looks like you did pretty well with your “low tech” food processor. :)
