HHDD #10: Three cheese cake

Cheese cakes everywhere. I decided to make a savoury cheese cake with three different sorts of cheese:

I chose another recipe from Sophie Dudemaine. I was successful again and this is my contribution to HHDD #10 hosted by peabody from Culinary Concoctions.

Title: Three cheese cake

Yield: 1 loaf pan 20 cm, about 1 litre

Dreierlei-Käse-Cake

Ingredients

150 grams   Flour
1 pack   Baking powder
3     Eggs, size M
2 pinches   Pepper
100 ml   Sunflower oil
125 ml   Milk
100 grams   Gruyère, grated *
100 grams   Bleu d’Auvergne*
100 grams   Mimolette, diced *

Directions

Preheat oven to 180 °C (160 °C fan. In a bowl mix flour and baking powder, add eggs and pepper and whisk together. Add oil, warm milk and grated Gruyère. Mash blue cheese with a fork. Add blue cheese and Mimolette to the batter. Pour into a lined baking tin and bake for 45 minutes.

Cool cake in the tin on a wire rack.

* I omitted the Mimolette and used 200 g blue cheese and a Cheddar/ Gruyère mixture

    It’s so funny to see our cheeses in an english post. Were are you from? If you know Sophie Dumaine and all these cheeses, you seems to be French or in France, isn’t it?

    Thankyou!
    I’m English and living in Bonn and have just had one of Sophie’s Cakes cooked by a friend in our German quilting group – it was delicious but I wanted to cook one myself before I buy the book, so thanks for the recipe – I’m trying it out as soon as the oven heats up…
