This week’s recipe on page 6 from Baking: From My Home to Yours *: Savory Corn and Pepper Muffins has been chosen by Rebecca of Ezra Pound Cake. A great pick after all the sweet gluttony at the end of last year.
Savory Corn and Pepper Muffins
I made them with my husband’s home-grown no name chilies and omitted the cilantro. Delicious!

Homegrown chilies? How wonderful! Your muffins look great.
Cute muffins
I love the muffin liners you used. We actually use those at the bakery I work at. I’ll have to take some for my next muffin blog post.
Someone was faster: I also wanted to say that I found not only these muffins pretty, but also their presentation especially good.
Beautiful Ulrike! I love the muffin papers… they make the muffins so much more elegant!
love the muffin cups. Weren’t these good muffins. So colorful. Yours look great.
I agree – a welcome change from all the sweets, even though I made the wrong muffin! Glad that you and your family liked them.
Love your muffins with the home-grown chilies.
Did you make those liners yourself? I can never get them to line up right – origami was never my strong suit :) They look awesome!
Die sehen lecker aus. Mal was anderes. Hast Du die hübschen Förmchen selbst gebaut?
Yahh For Savory Muffins
I like savory muffins. The sweet from the corn and the slight heat from the pepper must be a great combination here. Love the way you served them!
These are ever so pretty. I love the moreish look the liners give them. How wonderful!
Homegrown chiles?! Wow! Now that is a muffin made with love! Sounds delicious!
Love the homegrown peppers!!! What a delightful package too. Great job!
Great presentation! I’m glad you liked the muffins; I’ll bet the homegrown peppers were great in these. I didn’t plant peppers this year, but I will next time.
Nancy
Nice job!!! These were wonderful!
I had never seen muffin liners like that, very unusual and beautiful too. These muffins were delicious!
Very original recipe
This recipe goes beyond my comprehension, chili powder and Jalapeno. I just must try it.
