The task this week: Make a dish including root vegetable.
Nearly all root vegetables are almost winter vegetables for me and I am craving for spring now. My favourite organic farmer had some radishes on special offer, because the radish green was a bit too yellow. Radishes are also root vegetables and with the broad beans in the freezer from last year, white cheese and fresh parsley from my garden I had all ingredients for Nigel Slater’s
Broad beans, white cheese and hot radishes
on hand. Nigel Slater says: “The coolness of the cheese, the heat of the radishes and the buttery taste of the beans maka fresh, clean-tastein salat of utmost purity”
I have nothing to add.

I love that you chose to feature radishes this week! This is a lovely salad for so many reasons. It is certainly very pleasing to look at with all the beautiful colors! Also there is a lot of texture and flavor going on here. Gorgeous!
What a beautiful salad. I love radishes and it’s nice to see them as the focal point of a dish.
Agreed! It’s nice to see a fresh Springtime salad featuring radishes as the star of the show! beautiful presentation, too!
This is such an appealing salad! Looks really fresh and wonderful! A lovely choice for root veggie!
That is so colorful. I bet the radish did add some ‘bite’!
Divine. I’ve had this dish bookmarked for ages – it seems like such a perfect combination of ingredients. Looks like I will have to wait a few months though for radish season to roll around in my part of the world.
This salad is like a little bit of spring on a plate. I love the colors and all that yummy goat cheese. ;-)
